A type of milkweed grown as an annual in our area. Monarch butterflies LOVE this plant! The young larvae feed on the leaves and the adults return to enjoy the nectar. We had SO MANY MONARCHS on our plants last year – it was the highlight of 2020!
Plants grow 4-5’ tall, space plants 12’’ apart.
Prefers full sun. Deer resistant.
Milkweeds are poisonous so use caution around children & pets. Sap can be irritating to the skin.
Pick-up at Athens Farmers Market on Saturday, April 10th 8am-12pm, or at the Daily Coop on Sunday, April 11th 2-4pm. Please bring a box to carry your plants.
